"SaveAs" Saving files with a new name

Renaming Files From The "Save As" Dialog Box

Most users rely on the Windows Explorer in "Explorer View" or "Folder View" when wanting to rename files from their system. In most 32 bit applications that were designed for Windows 95/98 however, there is an easier way, especially if you discover a file that needs renaming while performing an "Save As" file operation. Here's how:

1 - While working in your application, select "Save As" from the file menu

2 - Navigate to the folder that contains the file you wish to rename.

3 - Single click to highlight the file, then single click again and the file's name will be highlighted, indicating that you can begin typing to rename the file.

4 - Press the enter key on the keyboard. The file now has the new name you assigned it.
