Installation Steps

-Step 11-

-Installing The Source Files

-After creating the Emergency Startup Disk, and selecting the "Next" button, you will see a "START COPYING FILES" dialog box. Clicking the "Next" button on this screen will begin the lengthy file copy operation. During this step, all the files needed to run the operating system, configure your computer's hardware to run with Windows 95, and all the optional components you have selected for the custom installation will be transferred from the Windows 95 CD or diskettes to your computer's hard drive.

-When the file copy has been completed, you will see a dialog box called "FINISHING SETUP." When you click the "Finish" button, your computer will be rebooted, and Windows 95 will attempt to load for the first time.
